Gastrointestinal Health
Our gastrointestinal system, or “GI tract”, is one of the most important systems we have, and its health is fundamental to our overall well-being. It is the site of nutritional absorption from our food, and one of the most critical avenues for waste elimination.
The GI tract houses the most immune tissue in our bodies (approximately 70-80%), and the third most neurological tissue (the first being the brain, the second being our spinal column).
Some signs and symptoms that may be experienced when the GI tract is disrupted or unhealthy include gas, bloating, constipation or diarrhea, weight changes, abdominal pain or discomfort, ‘heart burn’, or changes in color, consistency and odor of stool.
At Paradigm Health, we recognize the importance of gastrointestinal health, as imbalances in proper GI function can impact any area of the body. Thus we strive to discover the root cause of these ailments, utilizing specific testing and treatments to help identify and remedy these imbalances. Our goal is the resulting elimination of symptoms, and improvements in both GI and systemic health.
